Meow

People think I am bad luck but really, I am fierce and agile

I usually don’t like new people but if you give me food and treats,

I’ll love you like bees love drinking nectar

I'm a cat that is into hats and maybe bow ties,

put me in anything else and you might die

I only respond when I want,

I’m the master of ignoring and perhaps a little snoring

I love to go outside and hunt but I always have a horrendous time,

Other cats love to pounce on me like a bird hunting above water,

Claws flying and mouths screeching, It's a warzone I never signed up for.

I’m susceptible to cars, fleas and rat diseases but I’m famous for having 9 lives.

The world is so daunting, I don’t like giant animals and I don’t like loud noises,

I leap 20 feet in the air when I hear random car horns ringing.

Nature

Beautiful flowers and nourishing crops grow upon her gracious vessel

She works along the sun, moon and stars to keep us at bay

She’s green, brown, blue, clear and even gray

She’s our oceans, forests and deserts

Fish, coral, sharks, and plankton

Vines, dirt, rocks and trees

Cactus, sand, heat and tumbleweeds

Mysteriously whimsical and hostile animals hanging around adapted in a fleet

Human evolution exists because of the things she’s created,

As life on Earth continues, she’s starting to deteriorate like an old house begging to be renovated

Climate change and the downfall in precious animal species as we treat her like a trash can

Tsunami’s, earthquakes, tornados and even heat waves are all according to plan

Some say the weather is her moods, the roaring thunder, ponderous rainfall, the harsh twinkle of lighting, serene sunshine peaking through the leaves

Others say it’s a myth, where it’s make-believe.
