Get to Know Zara

Introduction

Zara Keating is a stunning, hardworking young adult. The first day of school I noticed she's smart and independent; she does her assignments fast by herself or with somebody. Every time she comes to school, I see and admire that she never relies on anybody, which makes me proud of her. She's a very kind girl; I sometimes feel bad because she doesn't deserve to be hurt in any type of way. Being the type of person Zara is right now is going to take her to be someone big in this world; she might help with people having justice, for people to feel safe. She's a very mature girl that makes excellent decisions for herself. She gives good advice to her surroundings, especially to her friends; she understands people.

Academic Struggles

She struggles with having interest in school; she said, “I don't like going to school; it's boring,” but yet she comes to get her things done. She understands that she needs to finish high school to move on to bigger things. For example, at the university, she wants to be a lawyer. She needs to take 7 years of courses that develop strong critical thinking, writing, and communication skills, with common majors including English, history, philosophy, political science, and economics.

But if she keeps on with the bad attendance, she is going need to spend even more time at high school. The thing is, she doesn't get enough sleep because of her job that takes lots of her time; it could be in the morning or night. If it's in the morning, then she's probably not going to be able to come to school and do her assignments, to learn, or to see and eat with her friends. If it's at night, she's most likely to come back home late and then struggle with going to sleep, get barely any sleep, and ends up being so tired that she prefers being home to catch up on her sleep so she doesn't fall asleep at school instead.

From guarding the crowd to watching, a front-row experience

Her job is being a security guard for concerts. She gets everything paid for; for example, if she needs to go somewhere far, like 2 hours away, they pay for her expenses, her way there, her clothes, and even her food. She usually has more work after school than in the mornings; because of that, she doesn't rest well because then the next day she has school, and well, she wakes up at 5:00am to be here at school at 7:30 because she prefers being early to having the chance of arriving late because of traffic or her tiredness. Even if she gets tired, she enjoys her job because she gets to see free artists who pay hundreds of dollars to see and to be so close to.

Here she needs to actually take care of the artists, so nothing happens. People are very disrespectful to the point they don't follow the rules, and one of the rules is to not get on the stage because security will go after you. She said, “One thing I don't like about my job is that I have to be rude to people. Sometimes I've had to scream at people because they don't hear me or just don't care. Her favorite thing about it is that she sees and hears one of her most favorite artists in Chicago even better for free.

Future goals

Zara wants to become a lawyer after high school; she's a mature girl that thinks she could make great decisions for people that could help in lots of ways. Of course she would go to the university and get a bachelor's degree, pass the LSAT, complete a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school, pass the Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination (MPRE), pass your state’s bar exam, meet character and fitness requirements and fulfill continuing education. She said, “I desire to help others and make a difference in society. I want to help with problem-solving and critical thinking and help people gain respect from others.” She doesn't like when people get treated wrong or differently, especially if there's no reason. People get taken advantage of if they are very nice and don't know how to say no sometimes. For example, in relationships she sees how there are girls or boys that have attachment issues, and well, she can't get herself involved in it, but if it's her friend or the guy is her friend, then she could say something that could help the relationship be better or someone to get better.
